“The support we have received from Bowl-A-Noma has been integral for supporting two key members of the lab and has allowed us to make important progress toward better understanding how to harness the immune system to better protect patients from melanoma. “
Dr. Kevin Barry,
Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center
MISSION
Bowl-A-Noma is wholly dedicated to finding a cure for melanoma. Your contribution supports early detection, scientific research, and educational outreach to ensure tomorrow’s future is fully aware of how to prevent and detect skin cancer.
Annual Bowling Fundraiser
May is Melanoma Awareness Month. We’re committed to rallying our friends, family, and community to help cure melanoma. We host bowling events; you can bowl or be a spectator. Every dollar we raise helps advance treatment, care, and cures for every person affected by this disease.
Together, our impact is exponential!
The Barry Lab
Bowl-A-Noma supports the research of Dr. Kevin Barry at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. Dr. Barry and his lab are focused on rare forms of Melanoma that do not have cures or life-prolonging therapies.
Educational Outreach
In 2019, Washington State’s average of Melanoma cases was nearly 20% higher than the national average.
BOWL-A-NOMA is developing a sun safety program to present within Seattle public high schools. We aim to inform the students about Skin Cancer and how to prevent and detect it.
